Mackenzie joined the Human Services Council in September 2018. Prior to joining HSC, Mackenzie worked as a Political Research Associate at Leadership for Educational Equity, where she led research initiatives analyzing diversity in electoral politics and informing program impact evaluation. Previously, she consulted on the New York Civil Liberties Union EqualityWatch database project, evaluating the reporting mechanisms for victims and witnesses of discrimination in New York State, with particular emphasis on reporting bias-based crimes, domestic violence, police misconduct, and discrimination in public schools. Mackenzie holds a B.A. in English and Psychology from Georgetown University and a Master of Public Policy from the University College London.
