NEW YORK DAILY NEWS – Mayor Adams and city Comptroller Brad Lander were right to establish a task force to examine the sluggish, complicated procurement and payment processes for nonprofits providing critical services for New Yorkers, which were long strained by delayed payments even before the pandemic supercharged many of their functions.
