Jen Diamond brings a background in nonprofit communications and policy work to HSC, where she works as the organization’s first Communications & Membership Coordinator. Prior to this role, Jen worked as the Communications & Program Manager at the Maryland Consumer Rights Coalition (MCRC) where she spearheaded the organization’s design and public facing content, lobbied for policies to promote economic justice and financial inclusion, and led state-level higher education reform efforts. While at MCRC, Jen represented consumer advocates as an alternate in the 2017/2018 Gainful Employment negotiations with the Department of Education and convened the Maryland Student Debt Coalition. Jen graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a bachelor’s degree in Writing Seminars and minors in Women, Gender, & Sexuality and Theatre Arts. She is a proud alum of the Public Allies program.
