Robert Trobe

Vice President, Alliant Insurance Services

Robert Trobe is responsible for new business development and client relationship management for Alliant Insurance Services, specializing in assisting nonprofit organizations.

Bob has over 40 years of experience in executive leadership positions in human services, healthcare, and insurance. Prior to joining Alliant, Bob served as a senior consultant for insurance broker Connor Strong; Executive Vice President at NYLCare, a managed care company; Chief Operating Officer of Barnert Hospital; and Chief Financial Officer of the Hospital for Joint Diseases. In addition, for seven years, he was Deputy Commissioner for Family and Adult Services for the City of New York responsible for services to the homeless, victims of domestic violence, homebound adults, endangered adults, and other afflicted New Yorkers. Bob and his immediate family (dad, mom, and daughter) have at one time worked for six different HSC member agencies.

Bob received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Rochester and his Master of Public Administration at Syracuse University. He served as the President of Circle of Life Children’s Center, a palliative care program for neonates and children with terminal illnesses, and was the Founding President of the Ho-Ho-Kus Education Foundation. Bob has also been a Peace Corp volunteer in Chile.
